Dear All,
As I’m looking forward to see you all back this week in class, I also like to share some visual memories, captured by Rolf, from our short trip to the capital.
Namaste,
RoxAnn

Dear All,
A little stroll over the old cemetery of Bethlehem is most rewarding in autumn, when nature reveals its most colorful palette and spoils us with its magic results. It allows us to dive into a unique world of colorful dots, which resembles, but in the end even tops the pointillism paintings of post-impressionism masters like Paul Signac or George Seurat. Find a few examples included, which Rolf took yesterday.
See you all this week in class again.
Namaste, RoxAnn

Dear All,
Today we like to share information about three of our favorite contemporary Musicians / Composers.
Ólafur Arnalds (1986), is an Icelandic Multi-Instrumentalist and producer. He mixes strings and piano with loops and beats, a sound ranging from ambient/electronic to atmospheric pop.
Ludovico Einaudi (1955), is an Italian Pianist and Composer. He is known for his simple but hauntingly beautiful minimalist works for the piano, and stunning film music.
Hania Rani (1990), a Polish Pianist, Composer and Singer. She employs a delicate, vulnerable, and minimalist playing style with modern recording techniques to evoke themes of self, home, and landscape.
Just click on their names and you’ll be linked to YouTube to get a first impression of their work.
Hope you enjoy as much as we do.
Namaste,
RoxAnn and Rolf
Dear All,
as many of you enjoyed the photographs we used to hand out , while we joined for my yoga classes in the studio, we thought to post a little selection, which will enable you to download them, either to be used on your digital devices or to print them out.
Namaste,
RoxAnn and Rolf
Dear All,
we just like to share a few colorful impressions of nature’s gift at this time of the year.
Namaste,

Dear All,
I like to share a few impressions of the colorful Fall palette, nature provided, while we were visiting family in New Hope, PA and captured by my partner Rolf.

“Like the triangle pose, the extended side angle pose provides gentle stretching while also strengthening the bones.” The pose can be practiced either with the lower forearm on the knee or with the hand on the floor.
Just wanted to share with you an interesting article in the Huffington Post, which might motivate you even more to join my workshop “Balance and Bones” either on Oct 25 or Oct 26 at the Center at Founders Village, in Fountain Valley.
“I know yoga can help because I’ve done the studies,” medical director of Manhattan Physical Medicine Dr. Loren Fishman, who has done extensive research on yoga and osteoporosis, told Huff/Post50. Commenting on a pilot study involving individuals with an average age of 68, he said, “We did a bone mineral density (DEXA) scan, then we taught half of them the yoga, waited two years, and did another scan. And not only did these people not lose bone, they gained bone. The ones who didn’t do the yoga lost a little bone, as you would expect.”
Fishman added that practicing yoga did not cause any serious injuries or fractures in the subjects of his research. “It seems to be safe and effective,” he says.
Hope to see you!
Namaste,
RoxAnn

The extended side angle pose provides gentle stretching while also strengthening the bones even executed with the support of a chair.
Click on this link and find out what else kept me busy beside my yoga teaching and ‘family affairs’ during the last three years. A fellow participant published this article in LAYOGA. She describes her journey to become a yoga therapist and gives some insight into structure and content of the educational program we joined. I truly look forward to share all the precious knowledge I gained during these years with you and future students.
Namaste,
RoxAnn
Check out the additional group of asanas, just added to complete my ‘essential asanas‘ page on my website. You’ll find images and detailed descriptions of the poses. Where applicable I give information about the modified version for the asana “in the chair” or “with the chair” as well.
I wish you a pleasant Sunday!
Namaste,
RoxAnn
