Bucket List

Dear All,
In case a trip to an African country, experiencing an eye to eye rendezvous with a gorilla or tree climbing lion and enjoying the beauty and cultural diversity of this continent just got or has been on your bucket list for a while, we have a proposal for you.
After two wonderful trips to Southern Africa in 2015 and 2017, it’s our great pleasure to introduce you to the offer for our next Trip to Africa, scheduled for
October 14 – 29, 2019.
This time we like to invite you to explore Uganda, a landlocked country in East Africa whose diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and the immense Lake Victoria.
Famously called the Pearl of Africa by Winston Churchill, it is home to one of the most diverse and concentrated ranges of African fauna/ wild-life including the highly endangered mountain gorilla in the Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the endangered common chimpanzee.
Please be aware that Uganda is not up to the high tourism standards of more mature destinations such as Kenya or Tanzania or South Africa. BUT – This gives it more edge, more authenticity and less predictability. This is real Africa.
Additionally to this mesmerizing experience, we offer to join us some days on Zanzibar, which is an archipelago made up of Zanzibar and Pemba Islands, and several islets. It is located in the Indian Ocean, about 25 miles from the Tanzanian coast, and 6° south of the equator.
It is characterized by beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral reefs, and the magic of historic Stone Town – said to be the only functioning ancient town in East Africa.
The archipelago, also known as Spice Islands, was famous worldwide for its cloves and other spices, and plantations were developed to grow them.
It also was the Africa Great Lakes’ main slave-trading port, and in the 19th century as many as 50,000 slaves were passing through the slave markets of Zanzibar each year.
Today tourism is definitely on the verge, but it’s still not dominating the island, which we think is a reason more to experience this destination.
Here you’ll find a PDF with a detailed trip description, don’t hesitate to contact us, if you like to know more. Thank you for your attention and consideration.
Best Regards and Namaste,
RoxAnn and Rolf

OMG. I’m just now getting caught up on emails and saw this amazing trip. I wish I could go, but back and digestive issues would be problematic. Besides, if I went to Uganda, I would have to make other arrangements to go to Kampala. I have an “adopted” son there. Yes, this would be on my bucket list if I felt more sure of health concerns and expenses for our upcoming move. Please keep me on your list so I can receive pictures!
